NEW HORIZONS: Technology, Territory, and Collective Power

ABOUT THE EVENT

What is the GLI Forum LatAm?

The GLI Forum LatAm is Latin America’s first event fully dedicated to advancing gender lens investing as an effective mechanism to promote gender equality and drive the region’s economic development.

The Forum is designed as a platform for learning, idea exchange, networking, and the co-creation of concrete solutions.

It brings together leaders from the investment, entrepreneurial, academic, and corporate sectors, as well as influential voices from civil society organizations and multilateral institutions, to connect as an ecosystem, generate synergies, and foster powerful conversations around gender lens investing.

What is gender lens investing?

For more than 35 years, Pro Mujer has supported women in vulnerable situations across Latin America by providing relevant resources and tools to help them reach their full potential. We see women as agents of change—capable of creating opportunities, driving progress, and transforming their lives, as well as those of their families and communities.

We are a pioneering institution in promoting and positioning gender lens investing in Latin America.

We believe that gender lens investing is an effective mechanism to advance gender equality and to boost economic productivity across the region and within companies.

Why do we promote investing in women?

Globally, more than $360 billion per year is needed to achieve gender equality. Yet only 0.01% of resources are allocated to financing it.

In Latin America, only 6% of investment fund capital is directed toward women-led businesses.

Serving the 73% of women-led businesses in the region that lack access to capital represents a $93 billion opportunity.

Companies with diverse teams are 82% more likely to develop innovative products or services and 59% more likely to outperform market profitability.
