PHD at International Development Research Centre (IDRC)


Carolina Robino is Senior Program Specialist at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), where she is part of the Sustainable and Inclusive Economies team. She manages innovative research on women economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and addressing the systemic barriers that perpetuate gender inequalities. She leads IDRC programming in Latin America and the Caribbean on the care economy and on impact business and investment, and public policies to support the ecosystem for impact businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Robino is an economist specialized in Latin American development. She has a PhD in Development Studies from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa and a Master in Social and Political Studies for Latin America from the Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Chile. She has an Economist Degree from the Universidad de la Republica in Uruguay.
