Strategic Advisor, Social Innovation - Fòs Feminista

Laura is an impact-driven strategist with 14+ years of experience in social innovation, strategic communications, human-centered design, and project management across various sectors including sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Currently serving as a Social Innovation Strategic Advisor at Fòs Feminista, Laura works alongside the Social Innovation and Financing Unit to channel blended funds and offer specialized technical accompaniment to support Fòs Feminista’s partner organizations (sexual and reproductive health and rights civil society organizations in the Global South) as they ideate, incubate, launch, and scale impact-first, sustainable, and revenue-generating initiatives that expand access to sexual and reproductive health and rights to women, girls, and gender-diverse people in the Global South. For the past two and a half years, Laura also proudly serves as a Human-Centered Design mentor for the Global Leaders Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, guiding students in tackling complex and meaningful design thinking challenges posed by nonprofit organizations and impact-driven enterprises in the United States and globally. Laura also has vast experience as an independent consultant for international nonprofit and civil society organizations. For 6 years she was an entrepreneur who co-founded and led a boutique strategic and creative communications firm serving clients in the multi-lateral, nonprofit, public, and corporate social responsibility sectors. Laura holds a Degree in Political Science from the Universidad de los Andes and Certification in Design Thinking from the LUMA Institute. She is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
