Magdalena Furtado is the Officer in Charge of UN Women in Argentina and the Director of Programs of UN Women in Uruguay. She has over 20 years of experience in various international organizations as a consultant and staff member. She was a teacher and researcher at the University of the Republic and author of several academic publications. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of the Republic of Uruguay.
