BIOGRAPHY
With over 15 years of experience in the financial system as an entrepreneur and investor, Patricia has facilitated the deployment of over US$100 million in foreign investments in Colombia and Latin America. Patricia is guided by the strong belief that entrepreneurship can generate significant impact in the region, serving as an engine for economic development which closes inequality gaps while maximizing opportunities for industries. “Patricia is convinced of the importance of promoting Latin America to attract more capital and deploying it as smart capital for the development of companies. Committed to closing the gender gap in the region by raising awareness among different stakeholders, encouraging women in leadership positions, and pursuing other initiatives. Patricia is a strong believer that there is no need to sacrifice returns for impact.” Patricia is the Founder and Managing Partner of EWA Capital, a regional VC fund for impact with a gender lens, dedicated to narrowing gender inequality in Latin America. The fund seeks to invest in early-stage companies built on innovation, disruption, technology, and inclusion. The focus is on key industries that demonstrate the greatest opportunity for scalability and disruption along with the potential of high impact on the region. Patricia has previously served as the President of the board member of Colcapital (Colombian PE and VC Association), representing VC funds in the industry. In addition to being Ambassador of WeInvest for Colombia and a member of WIC. She graduated with honors from BSc in Business Studies at City University (Cass Business School) and earned an MBA at Instituto Empresa Madrid (IE).
