As Senior Impact and Gender Officer at Deetken Impact, Rachel leads the implementation of the firm’s gender and impact investment strategy, conducting due diligence, monitoring, and managing impact and gender throughout the investment lifecycle. To help companies achieve business and impact objectives, Rachel also leads technical assistance projects on a variety of topics including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), impact measurement, environmental management, and more. Originally from the United States, Rachel currently lives in Oaxaca and previously lived in Guatemala for many years. Prior to joining Deetken Impact, Rachel led the design and execution of acceleration programs at Alterna, the first Social Entrepreneurship Center in Central America, working directly with a diversity of social entrepreneurs and SMEs to drive sustainable growth and maximize impact. She began her career in management consulting at L.E.K. Consulting in Boston.
